Discover ARCK, two unique places where interior architect Nele Vercauteren and architect Bas Wauman want to share their passion for architecture with you. Their so-called 'architect rooms' have each a unique look and are the perfect excuse to go out.

Our bed & breakfast is situated in the somewhat remote town of Tielrode, a cosy village situated in a river landscape. It should be no coincidence that the ‘Durme’ and the ‘Schelde’ decided to meet right here in the hearth of ‘Waasland’, as the surrounding area is beautiful.
Nevertheless, don’t let the peace and quiet fool you, as Brussels, Antwerp and Ghent are easily within reach.

You can park your vehicle for free in the surrounding streets of our B&B.
We have multiple bicycles at your disposal, please feel free to ask us for the most beautiful rides or walks in the area.

Nothing feels better than taking of your boots after a rewarding walk or ride in nature and choosing one of our wines, Belgian Beers or other drinks to enjoy in the lounge-room. These and other delicacies are available from our ‘Honesty Bar’.

If you decide to book our ‘Weltevree-experience’, you have the opportunity to take a dip in the dutchtubs. These is placed outdoors in a private pavilion, an experience to remember!

We proud ourselves in offering a breakfast that is a combination of local, biological products. Fresh bread, home-made jam, eggs from our own chickens and freshly brewed coffee and tea are just a touch of what we have to offer. In our brochure we listed places to lunch or have dinner in the evenings. These are all places that we love to visit ourselves.

Saint-Nicolas (Sant-A-Claus) has always been generous with buildingblocks. The Belgian city named after this Saint does however see things a bit bigger, being known for its Art Deco.

In one of these architectural wonders of 1933, Hector Mechiels’ house, we proudly present our ‘City Apartment’. A warm and welcoming hub were everyone can feel at home.

We offer a parking only 50 meters away.

The two bedrooms, named after the sisters Elodie and Valentine Mechiels, the two original residents of the house, are on the top floor of the Art-Deco-house.

During the day one can stroll down the streets enjoying the culture, boutiques and cosy bars the city of Sint-Niklaas has to offer. Brussels, Antwerp and Ghent are all within reach, as it only takes a train ride of 30 minutes to reach them.

We have a range of routes pointed out for you to enjoy by bicycle or on foot. These will take you through ‘Waasland’ and reward you with beautiful views.

For those who like to slow down a bit, feel free to listen to music, read a book, enjoy a drink or just enjoy doing nothing in our lounge on the first floor. In the communal kitchen we offer plenty of drinks and snacks from our ‘Honesty Bar’. The kitchen is all yours to prepare your own meal.
